Work Package 1: Physical activity, school and mental health

Ingeborg Barth Vedøy is the PhD stipendiat for Work Package 1. This project examines the relationship between academic achievement, physical activity and mental health.

Work Package 2: Experiencing physical education in secondary school

Linda Røset is the PhD stipendiat for Work package 2. This project focuses on Physical education and young people’s mental health both in and beyond school, as well as their engagement in the life of the school.

Work Package 3: Supporting young people’s mental health in school

Ellen Nesset Mælan was the PhD stipendiat for Work Package 3, which focuses on understanding how schools respond to young people experiencing mental health issues and support their learning.

Ellen completed her PhD on March 29th 2019.

Work Package 4: Evidence-based school development

Nina Grieg Viig, Hege Tjomsland and Miranda Thurston lead Work Package 4. The focus of this work is on using research to collaborate with schools as part of a process of school development.
